Storage on board: baskets, hampers and boxes

Storage on a yacht has to close, stack or stow. This collection covers three jobs: open storage for towels, lidded storage for laundry, and closed boxes for small things in salons and cabins.

The 36 cm towel basket is woven by hand from leather strips. The lidded laundry hamper is canvas with leather detailing, 45 × 30 cm and 50 cm high, and keeps laundry out of sight in a head or a cabin corner.

Six lidded leather boxes, with walnut frames or mahogany lids, run from 26 to 34 cm. A capsule box with drawers keeps coffee capsules in order beside the machine. Prices run from $290 to $870.

The storage box guide compares the six boxes side by side. For bathrooms, see bathroom accessories.
