A compact lidded box, 27.5 × 20 cm and 5.5 cm deep, with a full-grain leather body covered by hand and a natural mahogany lid.

The shallow depth suits flat contents — jewellery, keys, cufflinks, papers — rather than bulk. Solid timber above and leather below gives the piece weight in the hand that its size does not suggest.

Aboard it belongs on a cabin dresser or a guest suite console, where the mahogany lid picks up existing joinery. It works equally on a dressing table or bedside ashore.
