Veyra Deck pieces are made from full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather over steel or timber. Looked after properly, the leather develops a patina rather than wearing out.

Leather surfaces

Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not use abrasive pads, solvents, alcohol or household chemical cleaners — they strip the finish. Blot spills straight away rather than rubbing them in.

Stainless steel

Rinse the inner body with water and dry thoroughly. Do not put any piece in a dishwasher; the heat and detergent will damage the leather.

Timber frames and lids

Dust with a dry cloth. Keep away from standing water and direct heat sources.

Woven leather

Dust between the strands with a soft brush. Avoid pulling at the weave.

Storage conditions

Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight, which fades leather over time, and away from excessive moisture. On board, stow pieces in a dry locker when not in use for long periods.

What to expect over time

Full-grain leather softens and deepens in tone with use. Slight variation in colour and grain between pieces is inherent to the material, not a fault.
