A decorative cushion with a smooth black leather face and a single line of hand-braided cord running around its edge. The braid, worked in black, cream and ochre, is the only ornament on an otherwise plain surface.

The cord is passed through the leather by hand along the full perimeter. Small differences in the braid from piece to piece are inherent to the technique.

Dark and reserved, it anchors lighter cushions on a yacht salon sofa, and works ashore on leather seating in residences, offices and hotels.
